You can never have too many recipes for protein bars, so I wanted to show you all the delicious options that you can easily create at home. So far I have managed to make protein bars with chocolate nut flavour and a version with raspberry and white chocolate, but I only translated the first recipe. Now it’s time to play with the banana flavour.
Although in these bars the banana flavour is dominant, I can say that you will also detect others. That is why I felt like the title “Banana Nut Muffin Protein Bars” is the most accurate.
Every bar you’ll find a few pieces of walnuts, while the almond butter enriches the flavor and makes it more sophisticated. These are bars have attitude! ?
In a bowl, combine the whey protein powder with the micellar casein, VitaFiber powder and the banana flavouring from MYPROTEIN.
Add the almond butter and the skimmed milk.
Knead the mixture in your stand mixer with the flat beater or by hand until homogenous. You will be tempted to add more milk, but believe me there is no need to do this. Continue to knead and you will see that it will come together. If you will add more liquid, the bars will turn out too soft and sticky.
Transfer the mixture into a 20cm square mould (I used a silicone one). Use a spatula to level the batter. You could also use a glass or any other object with a flat bottom.
Put the mould in the refrigerator and leave it there for 1 hour. You could also put it in the freezer for 10-15 minutes to speed up the hardening process.
Release the batter from the mould, place it on a cutting board and cut it into 10 equal bars. I recommend wrapping the bars individually for an easier serving and storing. You can make a bigger batch and freeze them and they will taste just as good as the freshly made ones.
